Cho was convicted last week of embezzlement for having officials buy stocks his eldest son, Cho Hee-jun, owned in 2002. His officials bought 250,000 shares of the stock at four times the market value, according to news reports.

The Yonhap News Agency reported that the judge believes Cho should be severely punished for committing breach of trust, especially for a person of his status in society, but gave a light sentence for tax evasion because of Cho's positive contributions to society.

Biography

Cho

Edwin graduated Cum Laude from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. His passion for energy and power generation inspired him to choose HVAC as his capstone project and pursue a career in the MEP industry. Edwin has worked on various project types since starting at CEG including office spaces, educational facilities, and performing arts buildings. His flexibility and creativity allow him to thrive in any project assigned to him. Edwin's attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to be pragmatic when faced with challenges makes him a valuable part of our team.

Outside of work, Edwin enjoys traveling the world. Originally from Venezuela, he was exposed to international travel from an early age and speaks three languages! He has a deep passion for cooking which he developed alongside his mother who is a gourmet chef. He enjoys sharing different foods with us in the office and we don't mind! When not in the kitchen, Edwin enjoys hiking, climbing, swimming, and playing tennis.
